Hadouken Tee – Midnight Blue

Hadouken Tee in Midnight Blue is part of our first collection. All designs in this collection are illustrated by Andy ultra, and come from his sketchbook work over the last year. He is very inspired by video games, especially the aesthetic from the nineteen nineties, the 8 to 16 bit era of gaming. Street fighter is a game Andy put many hours of his youth into, and this is his homage to it. The gloved hands is a trope found in a lot of Andy’s work, coming from a background in animation, he has always had a fascination with the design of early cartoons. The gloved hands are an example of a design solution found by animators of black and white cartoons. They needed a way to show the hand even if it was in-front of the body and with a limited colour palette the solution was the gloved hand. An aesthetic that has been passed down throughout animation, and now adopted into Andy’s Art.

The Tee is a relaxed fit, heavy weight 220 GSM 100% combed cotton. Built to last with neck ribbing, side seams, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, and double needle hems, plus preshrunk fabric for minimal shrinkage when washing. The design is digital printed direct to fabric on the back of the tee. The Super Ultra Cool logo is screen printed over the heart on the front, and the inside back collar has the advised washing instructions to keep the garment in best condition for as long as possible.
