Kids Cactus T-shirt in Bottle Green is part of our first Kids collection. Illustrated by Andy ultra, and come from his sketchbook work over the last year. Andy loves his plants, and they inspire a lot of his work. He isn’t the most green fingered creative, but he tires his best. The cactus design takes a juxtaposition on the spikes nature of the cactus, and the gloved hand being representing peace. The gloved hands is a trope found in a lot of Andy’s work, coming from a background in animation, he has always had a fascination with the design of early cartoons. The gloved hands are an example of a design solution found by animators of black and white cartoons. They needed a way to show the hand even if it was in-front of the body and with a limited colour palette the solution was the gloved hand. An aesthetic that has been passed down throughout animation, and now adopted into Andy’s Art.
The Tee is a relaxed fit, 155 GSM 100% combed cotton. Built to last with neck ribbing, set-in sleeve and double needle hems. The design is digital printed direct to fabric on the back of the tee. The Super Ultra Cool logo is screen printed over the heart on the front, and the inside back collar has the advised washing instructions to keep the garment in best condition for as long as possible.
